“We can never have enough of nature.” ― Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods
We are so very fortunate that Beaver Lake Nature Center exists, and even more fortunate that it exists in our community. It was a such a treat to gather there for the June 4 GBCC Coffee Talk on a gorgeous morning.
Thank you to Amanda, Erin, Marissa, and the rest of the staff and volunteers for having us over for coffee and treats. Many of us are seasoned Beaver Lake aficionados and have been members for many years, but it was the first visit for others in attendance and at least one person joined on the spot.
Membership is an affordable way to support land acquisition efforts at Beaver Lake, to guarantee the continuation of over 400 programs offered each year, and to provide for physical improvements to the Nature Center and the 9 miles of trails for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and birding. Learn more about member benefits and how to join at https://beaverlakenaturecenter.org/get-involved/membership/
As you can see, not only did we enjoy each other’s company and exchanged good information, we got a little silly!
Thank you to the GBCC members who took time out of their busy schedules to attend: Kathy – Baker Photography; Cindy – PAC-B TV; Melissa, Jenn, and Sarah – SECNY FCU; Katie – Baldwinsville Rotary; Bill – Cirque d’Vin Wine Club; Michele – Christine Zippi Team; Kevin and Anyaka – Town of Lysander Parks and Recreation; Matt – Heritage Insurance Agency; Jill – Get Honest Solutions; Coach Bruce; Fay – FLC Home Inspections; Nate – WWDot Computers; Jon – FitzTec Solutions; Mary – M&T Bank; Kevin – Town of Lysander supervisor; Vickie – American Cancer Society and Baldwinsville Center for the Arts; Melanie – Your Window to the World; and Jeff – Pinnacle Employee Services.
