The B’ville Big Chill has taken place in Baldwinsville for NINETEEN YEARS – can you believe it!

Baldwinsville Rotary partners with us to bring this annual winter tradition to our community and we have several new additions to our tried-and-true B’ville Big Chill traditions.

B’ville Big Chill Kickoff Party

Thursday January 29, 5 to 8 pm

WT Brews, 18 E. Genesee Street, Baldwinsville

Stop in to enjoy a special B’ville Big Chill beverage, served by one of our guest bartenders. Plungers will attend to choose their plunge theme music and time.

Our guest bartenders from event sponsor Solvay Bank will serve from 5 to 6 pm; Melissa Hennessey from SECNY FCU and Caitlin Proia from Tymeless Tattoo will serve from 6 to 7 pm; and Katie Reap from Baldwinsville Rotary and Sean Becker from Horan Insurance will wrap up the evening from 7 to 8 pm.

B’ville Big Chill

Saturday January 31, 11:30 am

Mercer Park, Baldwinsville

The heated tent will open at 11:30 am for the Best in Bowl competition. For just $5 a person, you can sample food from six local eateries and then vote for your favorite. This year’s participants are The Wood Restaurant & Golf Club, San Miguel Mexican Bar & Grill, Sal’s Pizza and Restaurant, Home Team Pub at Radisson Greens, Angry Smokehouse, and Angry Garlic. WT Brews will also be set up in the tent to serve both adult and non-alcoholic beverages.

At noon, teams of people will start plunging into the icy Seneca River, competing to raise money and receive cash awards for their favorite charities. The schedule of plunge teams will be posted on the B’ville Big Chill Facebook page the day before the event. Support our plunge teams by donating at www.bvillebigchill.com

But wait, there’s more! Otto Orange will join us, spreading orange cheer, and you can try your hand at Penguin Plop, our version of winter cornhole. We have another surprise in store for you – stay tuned!

B’ville Big Chill Warm Up Party

After you’ve sampled food, hung out with Otto, and cheered on the plunge teams, head over to WT Brews and warm up before starting the Poker Bear Express. You can purchase your Poke Bear Express ticket for $10, purchase a B’ville Big Chill insulated tumbler for $15 (while supplies last), and enter a drawing for a fabulous B’ville themed prize

Poker Bear Express

Saturday January 31, 3:30 to 7:30 pm

Start at any location, purchase a ticket for $10, and walk to participating bars and restaurants to try to make a winning poker hand. Turn in the ticket at your last location of the evening at 7:30, then have dinner somewhere in the village.

Best legal poker hand wins a cash prize and a gift card to the participating location of their choice. Other prizes include worst hand, as well as random drawings of those who visit 5 or more locations.

We have 11 participating locations this year: Olive's Eatery, Angry Smokehouse, Poisoned Apple Pouring Service at Island Escape DIY Party Venue, San Miguel Mexican Bar & Grill, Sammy Malone's, WT Brews, Sal's Pizza and Restaurant, Mohegan Manor, Pizza Man Pub, Angry Garlic, BG1.
